Come along for a guided walk-and-talk visit to Brechin Den, where the Caldhame Burn has been brought back into the open through an innovative "daylighting" project.

Historically, many burns and watercourses in urban areas were straightened and culverted underground, reducing their environmental value and disconnecting communities from local nature. The daylighting of the Caldhame Burn has restored the watercourse to a more natural form, creating a wetland habitat in the heart of Brechin and transforming the area into a more attractive, biodiverse place for people and wildlife.

This visit will explore how nature-based solutions can help improve urban environments, enhance biodiversity, and build resilience to climate change.
