Community Energy Event

Community Energy Information Event

Join us for practical, informative sessions exploring how communities can:

  • Reduce energy costs
  • Generate renewable energy locally (e.g. solar PV, heat pumps)
  • Develop community ownership models
  • Access funding and support for wider community energy projects

Open to any Dundee community group—whether you’re just starting or already working on local energy initiatives.

Agenda:

  • Welcome and Teas and Coffee
  • Home Energy Scotland (with time for Q&A) – Who are Home Energy Scotland, what do we do and how can we work with Community Groups – Michael Marley
  • Local Energy Scotland (with time for Q&A) – An introduction to Local Energy Scotland, Funding and Case Studies – Jenny Law or Rachel Yule
  • Community Energy Scotland / DTA Scotland (with time for Q&A) – Democratic Finance Model & Community Benefit Society Governance Model – Pamela Barnes
  • Wrap up and thank you

Note:

  1. If multiple people from your organisation plan to attend, please sign up separately and limit numbers to a few per group per session, as seating is limited.
  2. Unfortunately, due to City Square’s building age, accessibility is limited. There are 12 steps to the meeting rooms and no lift available. We’re deeply sorry if this affects attendance. Please contact us for more information or to receive meeting slides.
